Showers tapering off with cooler weather

A cold front brought a band of showers and embedded storms through the region this evening, which has tapered off and moved south of the Columbus area. The temperature fell from the upper 70s to the upper 50s, and will stay in the 60s on Monday. A few showers may linger in the eastern areas, but we should have drier conditions to start the day.

Clouds will give way to some sun on Monday. Seasonably warm conditions will return on Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs rebounding into the mid- to upper 70s, along with a good deal of sunshine. The next opportunity for rain will arrive with a cold front Wednesday night and Thursday. The front will likely waver over the Ohio Valley into the weekend, with several rounds of showers and storms.

Tonight: Showers diminishing, cooler. Low 50

Monday: Clouds linger, partial clearing later, cooler. High 66

Tuesday: Mostly sunny. High 73 (48)

Wednesday: Mix of sun and clouds, warmer. High 77 (53)
