LEE COUNTY, AL (WCMH) — Superstition says rain on your wedding day is good luck, symbolizing fertility and cleansing.

But what about a tornado doing your “I dos”?

That’s what may have happened to couple in Opelika, Alabama this past Saturday. Wedding guest Holly Murphee captured the photo as the couple and others ran for cover as a tornado funnel appeared in the distance.

The National Weather Service confirmed the twister spotted in the background of the wedding photo packed winds of 85 miles per hour, toppling trees and damaging homes.

Thankfully, no one was injured.
