FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Wednesday Night,
After a very nice start to the day, as expected clouds have returned, and showers and storms are starting to move in ahead of a cold front and associated low. This will make for a wet night overnight tonight, but temps will remain seasonal near 60.
Thursday rain showers will be around for a good portion of the day, so while we will not have flooding rainfall in a short period of time as a big threat, there will be a threat of overall moderate amounts of water.
Rainfall totals from tonight through Thursday night should be between an inch to upwards of 2+ inches in a few spots. Thursday will also turn breezy to windy with the frontal passage and the proximity of the low. Northwest winds could gust from 30-40 miles per hour in the afternoon.
Thursday night rain showers will end as the low moves out, it will set up for clearing skies, and a chilly night with most of us dropping into the upper 40s to lower 50s.
Friday will start off cool but with sunshine being the rule, temps should surge back into the middle 70s during the afternoon, by far our nicest day over the next 7.
Saturday starts off nice, and should make for a great start to the day, but we are expecting more clouds late with highs in the lower 80s. We will see late day storms popping up with better chances of rain at night.
After that, we get back into that pattern we spent a lot of time in last month, where a front will come down into our area, and drag across our backyards, and hang out for several days.
This will set up for seasonal temps with highs near 80, but rain in the forecast from Sunday-Wednesday, with the chances getting a bit less each day, but still something to plan for.
