A chilly northerly flowheld afternoon temperatures to around 50 degrees. An upper-level brought some cloudiness and spotty showers in southern and western parts of the state.
Skies will gradually clear tonight, and lows will dip into the upper 20s and low 30s.
Temperatures will rebound into the low to mid-50s Wednesday, as winds briefly turn southerly. A cold front will bring clouds later in the day, after a good deal of sunshine, and the chance for a few showers in the evening.
A clipper system passing north of the Great Lakes will serve to reinforce the chilly pattern through Thursday, with a freeze likely in the morning, as readings dip into the mid-20s in most areas.
The next chance for widespread rain and will come later on Friday, with low pressure moving through the Central states. The rain will taper off on Saturday, with another day of gusty winds, and the chance for a narrow line of storms to pass through with a cold front.
Clearing and seasonable weather return on Sunday.
