Very rare January tornado in northeast Ohio Tuesday

Less than 1% of all tornadoes in the state happen in January

Columbus (WCMH) - Quite an odd site here in Ohio, yesterday the National Weather Service in Cleveland confirmed an EF-1 tornado northeast of Champion Township, and ending near Courtland in Trumbull County.

It was shocking to people up in the northeast part of the state, on a very warm and windy day.  This is quite odd as about a half of one percent of all Ohio tornadoes occur in January.

This was the 1st confirmed tornado in the state in the month of January in 11 year.  Luckily and thankfully there were no injuries reported with this storm.
