After another round of light snow and another round of freezing temps tonight, things are looking up the rest of the week.
“Up”, as in temperatures going up. Highs will top out around 50 tomorrow, upper 50s Wednesday, then how about some 70s by Friday! The average this time of year is 61.
Along with the spring warmth will come spring showers and storms. An approaching cold front will move through by Sunday morning, producing some areas of heavy rain and possibly strong storms. At this point, it’s looking like most of the rain will come through late Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning–which could affect part of the Ohio State Spring Game on Saturday. Something to watch!
Temperatures will still be in the 60s to low 70s Saturday, then start to come down again Sunday behind the front. Highs in the 40s return early next week, with perhaps a little more snow to start the week on Monday.
So the upcoming warmth doesn’t last long. The 8-14 day outlook from the National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center is a cool one. Look at all that blue on the map below! A sign of more colder-than-normal days ahead as we get into late April.
It may be short and t-shirts later this week, but don’t pack away the sweaters & heavy coats just yet!
