Tiger Woods commits to play the Memorial

DUBLIN, OH (WCMH) — Masters champion Tiger Woods has announced he will be playing in next week’s Memorial tournament.

Woods made the announcement on Twitter where he stated he was playing in the PGA tournament held in Dublin before he heads to Pebble Beach in California for the U.S. Open.

Woods has played little golf this season, but one of his few appearances this season will live in golf history. Woods won at The Masters in April, his first major championship in 11 years and his 15th career major win. Last week he missed the cut at the PGA Championship. He had not played in a tournament between the Masters and the PGA.
