BOSTON (WCMH) — Columbus Blue Jackets head coach John Tortorella spoke Saturday, hours before the Jackets face off against the Boston Bruins in Round 2, Game 2 of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and explained how they’re planning to approach the game after Thursday night’s loss.

The Jackets swept the Tampa Bay Lightning in Round 1, then took on the Boston Bruins in Round 2 Game 1 Thursday night. The Bruins prevailed 3-2 in overtime.

Saturday, NBC4’s Jerod Smalley asked Coach Tortorella how they’re planning to mentally approach Game 2 in Boston.

“The biggest thing is, when you’re trying to be aggressive, and we’re going to be aggressive, sometimes you have to fight another day in certain situations, and not overdo it, because it puts you in a bad spot going back the other way,” Tortorella said. “I think our guys are feeling pretty good about how we should play, and have been successful in a number of minutes throughout the playoffs-balancing those types of situations.

The Jackets and the Bruins face off at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC4. Don’t miss our pregame special Road to the Cup at 7:30 p.m. EDT on NBC4.
