CINCINNATI (WLWT) —Following a devastating loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Cincinnati Bengals have fired their defensive coordinator, according to multiple reports.
Teryl Austin has been relieved of his duties, ESPN reports.
The move comes nine games into the season following a devastating 51-14 loss to the Saints at home at Paul Brown Stadium, and a dismal past three weeks for Cincinnati’s defense.
Austin was named Cincinnati’s defensive coordinator in January of this year. He worked for the Detroit Lions for several seasons prior.
