COLUMBUS (WCMH)– Several school levies and bonds were on the midterm ballot in Ohio.
This includes one in the south-western school district. The district is calling the passing of issue 7 a huge win for the students and their families.
This bond provides the funds to complete the second phase of an existing project. The district can now move forward with its plans to build new buildings at Brook-Park, Finland, Norton and Pleasant View Middle Schools. They will also be able to complete the renovation at Jackson Middle School.
The project is expected to cost around $193 million.
Here is an update on the other school levies on the ballot tonight:
- Worthington schools issues 9 and 10 have passed
- Whitehall passes issue 8
- South-western city schools passed issue 7
- Grandview has passed their bond
