EL PASO CO., CO (WCMH) — A Colorado sheriff deputy decided to celebrate his retirement by dancing to Silentó’s “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” inside an elevator.

Deputy Tony Scherb retired from the Sheriff’s Office after 29 years of service. To celebrate, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Department put a camera inside one of their elevators and told the deputy to go bust a move.

For nearly 3-minutes, the outgoing deputy, who was known around the department for “being highly professional,” let loose – only stopping when the deputy chief got on board. The video quickly went viral with more than 3.5 million views in just 48 hours.

“Tony has been a valued member of the Sheriff’s Office for so many years and a personal friend to many of us,” a statement about his retirement read. “We are going to miss him and we wish him the very best.”
