NORTHFIELD, OH (WCMH) — Police in Ohio are searching for the vandals who covered the inside of a fire station with urine.
According to WEWS, firefighter gear, chairs, and couches were all saturated with urine at the Northfield Ohio fire station over the weekend.
Police say the vandals left sticky notes with profanities written all over the station, as well.
The locks had recently been changed, and according to police there is no evidence of a forced entry.
“They damaged some stuff that is going to take a substantial amount of money to replace and fix,” said Sgt. Glenn Stott with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
Northfield Center Township Trustee Paul Buescher told WEWS he wants the vandals to face justice. “I want to see them behind bars, no matter who they are. I want them held accountable for this. There is no excuse for this. This is criminal, and they need to go to jail.”
Recently, Northfield firefighters were out of a job after a ballot measure failed in August, but firefighters from neighboring town Macedonia had been working out of the station.
