COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A woman’s unborn baby was killed early this morning in a head-on crash in east Columbus.

It happened shortly before 1am on South Hamilton Road at the intersection of Dundee Avenue.

According to Columbus police, Roseline Keni was stopped at a red light in the northbound lanes of Hamilton Rd. waiting to make a left turn when a 2008 GMC Yukon driven by 38-year-old Tony Muldrow crossed the center line and hit Keni’s car head-on.

Police say Muldrow continued driving after the crash, getting onto Interstate 70 before his SUV broke down. Officers apprehended him a short time later.

A passenger in Roseline’s car, 23-year-old Chislain Ngolo, was pregnant when the crash happened. She was taken to Grant Medical Center where it was determined that the baby did not make it.

No charges have been filed. Police say the crash remains an ongoing investigation.
