Woman who wrote on abandoned puppy sentenced in court

The woman who was facing charges for leaving her caged dog in a Ross County park, with writing in permanent marker on its body, has been sentenced.

On October 26, in Chillicothe Municipal Court, Kendra Stafford pleaded guilty to one count of abandoning an animal. One count of animal cruelty was dismissed.

According to court records, Stafford was sentenced to one year community control, fined $100 plus court costs, and shall not own or keep dogs.
