ROCHESTER, MN (KXAN) — Dramatic video shows a 13-year-old diving in to save a boy on the verge of drowning at a neighborhood pool in Minnesota, Monday afternoon.
The surveillance video, obtained by local NBC affiliate KTTC, shows the teen, Cody Runyon, diving down and then bringing up the young boy’s limp body.
“I went underwater, and all of a sudden I see him just laying on the ground just sitting down in five feet,” Runyon said.
That’s when Desiree Pasko pulled the boy, who had turned totally blue, from the water and started CPR.
“Watching a child go from totally blue, to a little tiny bit of pink… is a rewarding feeling,” Pasko said.
The boy is expected to be okay.
