Wandering goat leads to animal cruelty arrest

People are being chased by a roaming goat in Hartford Thursday evening, and no it’s not a yard goat.

Police say the goat was loose near Blue Hills Avenue Thursday night. While investigating the incident, police located the residence where the goat lived in Hartford.

They found 15 other goats, 8 roosters, 2 ducks, and a hen living in filthy conditions. Most of the animals were injured and malnourished.

They are currently being relocated to a farm, and police arrested 41-year-old Kenya Miller of Bloomfield.

He’s charged with 25 counts of cruelty to animals.

A goat has been reported dead.
