EUGENE, OR (NBC News) — An animal welfare officer in Eugene, Oregon came to the rescue of a little fawn that was in big trouble.
With a body cam, officer Shawni McLaughlin captured her encounter with the fawn that had managed to get stuck in a picket fence.
Mclaughlin spoke soothingly to the animal as she covered its head with a cloth to ease its fears.
She then lifted the fawn from the fence and set it on the ground where it took a bit of a breather.
Once she removed the cloth from its head, the fawn she named “Bambi” scampered away.
