VIDEO: Colorado deputies free bear that locked itself in vehicle

U.S. & World

BOULDER CO., CO (WCMH) — In the early morning hours, deputies in Colorado got a frantic call from a woman. She told them someone–or something–was inside her SUV, honking the horn.

Deputies used a flashlight to peek inside, and found a bear staring right back at them.

The deputies carefully opened the back door, and the animal ran off.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says this is the time of the year when bears start wandering around because they are looking for food in trash cans, cars, and homes.
