GLADSTONE, OR (NBC News) — Talk about a bold move. A thief was caught on camera trying to steal a bike from outside an Oregon police station!
Police in Gladstone say the bike was on a bike rack near the station, about 10 miles south of Portland.
Video from a security camera shows the man trying to cut the lock off the bike before an officer confronts him and orders him to the ground.
The officer gets some assistance, frisks the unidentified suspect and then takes him into custody.
