U.S. & World

BRISTOL, VA (WJHL) – A 17-year-old seen on video pepper spraying a kitten will not be charged.

The Bristol, Virginia Police Department told News Channel 11 they presented a referral of probable cause to a juvenile intake worker at Bristol Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. A juvenile intake worker has similar authority to a magistrate.

The intake worker decided not to continue with charges against the teenager.

Since the case involves a juvenile, no information or details on the decision are available.

The kitten was treated and is in good condition. It has already been adopted and given the name “Peppy.”
