Stolen service dog reunited with Marine veteran owner thanks to help from community

U.S. & World

INDIANAPOLIS (WCMH) — A service dog was reunited with his veteran owner a day after he was stolen from an Indianapolis gas station.

Indianapolis police said on Twitter that a United States Marine Corps veteran’s vehicle was stolen with Wrigley, a 2-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, inside on July 17.

The vehicle was recovered on the east side of Indianapolis without Wrigley inside.

A day later, after a lot of community support and tips, someone spotted Wrigley and called police.

The dog was a bit frightened at first, but came running out to see his family and barked happily at the reunion.
