Steam pipe explosion leaves hole in middle of New York street

NEW YORK (WCMH) — A steam pipe explosion in a busy part of New York has left a crater in the street.

According to WNBC, no injuries were immediately after the explosion, which was first reported at about 6:30am, Thursday.

Officials are still working to determine where the source of the blast originated. 

Residents in the immediate area have been evacuated.
