(WCMH) – A 15-year-old singer from California earned the final golden buzzer of this season’s auditions on America’s Got Talent.

Makayla Phillips, from Canyon Lake, California, earned judge Heidi Klum’s golden buzzer with her rendition of Demi Lovato’s ‘ Warrior.

“I shut my eyes and listened to you sing. That was not the same person. That shouldn’t have been you,” said Simon Cowell. “That’s a really difficult song to sing. You’ve got amazing presence, great confidence. This is what this show is all about.”

“I think you are incredible,” said Heidi Klum. “I love the whole package. I love your smile, I love how you project to everyone, your voice is incredible.”

“You know what I’m going to do for you?” said Klum, as she pressed the golden buzzer.

Makayla has been performing since she was two-years-old. Her great-grandfather had a Top 100 Billboard album in 1954.

Makayla is the fifth and final golden buzzer recipient of the audition rounds. She joins singers Amanda Mena,  Courtney Hadwin and Michael Ketterer as well as acrobatic dance group Zurcaroh.

In America’s Got Talent, a golden buzzer automatically passes the performer or performers to the live rounds of the show. Each judge and the host are allowed to press the golden buzzer once over the course of all audition rounds.
