WASHINGTON DC (WCMH/CNN)—The government may not be fully operational with the partial shutdown, but kids are still able to track Santa’s Christmas Eve journey.

Norad has been a Christmas tradition for children for the last 63 years, and this year is no different.

Around 15 hundred volunteers are one hand to help keep the tradition alive, including President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump

Trump made light of the tradition by asking a 7-year-old if he still believed in Santa.

“Are you still a believer in Santa? Because at 7, it’s marginal right?”

Trump ended the call with a laugh and wished the caller a Merry Christmas.
