Police: Woman calls 911 after killing boyfriend

PONTIAC, MI (WCMH) – A woman is facing murder charges after her boyfriend was found shot to death in a Michigan home.

Marita Glynise Talley is charged with first-degree murder and felon in possession of a firearm, WDIV reported.

According to investigators, Talley called 911 and told a dispatcher that she shot her boyfriend. She said the gun was inside the home and she would wait outside for deputies. She was arrested without incident.

William Spencer Bell, 36, was found on a sofa inside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

WDIV reported Talley has a criminal history going back to 2005. In 2011, she pleaded assault to assault with a deadly weapon. While in prison, she pleaded no contest to assaulting a prison employee.

She was discharged from parole in those cases in 2016.
