With Halloween just around the corner, authorities are warning parents to be aware after candy discovered during a drug bust actually turned out to be pot lollipops.

According to the Hapeville Police Department, the drugs disguised as candy were recovered in a Friday bust that also yielded a stolen firearm and suspected marijuana in addition to the cannabis lollipops  and what authorities suspect was cocaine in powder form.

Authorities say the pills and lollipops were designed to look like candy. Shapes included familiar characters such as Homer Simpson, Hello Kitty, and Minions from the “Despicable Me” movies.

Police didn’t disclose any further details on the bust.

“Parents, teachers and Coaches please make sure our young people aware of these dangers,” the Hapeville PD said on Facebook.
