MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – There have been numerous social media posts about a missing West Virginia University student. TaShala Turner was last seen late last week, according to the posts.

West Virginia University Police confirmed Monday that they are investigating her disappearance.  In a statement, officers said they have been in touch with Turner’s family and that while there is a concern for her wellbeing, investigators do not suspect foul play.

The department will continue to investigate, according to a statement released on Twitter.

Turner is listed on the WVU Sports website as a freshman member of the cross country team and a graduate of University High School.
