Passengers on a Carnival cruise ship got a little more water than they bargained for after a pipe broke below decks.
According to Carnival spokesperson John Heald, there was a water line break around 6pm Thursday on the Carnival Dream that affected guests in around 50 rooms.
In a statement, Heald said:
“Impacted guests will receive a full 100 percent refund of their cruise fare, a 50 percent future cruise credit and the option to disembark the ship today if they choose with air transportation to return home. We appreciate our guests’ understanding and sincerely apologize. We also thank our crew members for their quick action and hard work.”
The Carnival Dream is on a seven-day cruise that departed New Orleans on April 29.
