Nurse graduates from NYU after working there as a janitor

U.S. & World

A man has graduated from New York University’s Nursing School after working there years ago as a janitor.

Frank Baez came to the United States from the Dominican Republic in 2004. He was just 15 years old and barely spoke English.

When he was 17,  he got a weekend job as a hospital janitor at NYU.

On Monday, Baez got his nursing degree from there.

He’s the first member of his family to graduate college.
