New details in missing Colorado mom case, suspect in custody

U.S. & World

Police are looking at a woman in Idaho, who they say is suspected of disposing of Kelsey Berreth’s phone.

Police have said there was a cell phone ping in Gooding, Idaho from Berreth’s phone three days after she was last seen.

The connection between that woman and Berreth’s fiance, Patrick Frazee, who is charged with her murder is still unclear.

Frazee previously told police he last saw Berreth on Nov. 22, when he picked up their daughter.

Patrick Frazee is accused of trying to find someone to kill Kelsey Berreth three times between September and November and causing her death on or around Thanksgiving, according to a charging document. Berreth was last seen Thanksgiving Day on a grocery store surveillance video with the couple’s 1-year-old daughter, and Frazee said the two met that day to exchange their child.

Prosecutors haven’t released a motive.

Frazee is being held without bond and was in court for a custody hearing Thursday.

Berreth and Frazee share a 1-year-old daughter together. She’s currently in the custody of Berreth’s parents.
