Nerf Battle Racer go-karts recalled for laceration, collision hazards

VAUGHAN, Ontario (WFLA) — Hauck Fun For Kids recalled over 26,000 of their Nerf Battle Racer go-karts after reports of the wheels falling off.

This malfunction can cause a laceration or collision hazard for kids.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the recall includes the four-wheel pedal-powered go-kart for children ages 4 to 10 manufactured between 2016 and 2017. 

The product was sold at national retailers including Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart and

The distributor reported having 639 incidents of steering wheels breaking, detaching or cracking. One case resulted in a laceration to a child’s face, requiring stitches.

Consumers should stop using the go-kart and contact Hauck for a new steering wheel.
