The 91-year-old actor best known for playing Mr. Feeny in “Boy Meets World” and voicing KITT in “Knight Rider” thwarted a burglary at his own home over the weekend.
On Tuesday, William Daniels’ media team confirmed on Twitter that someone tried to break into the actor’s home Saturday night.
The tweet says Daniels was able to scare off the would-be burglar before the Los Angeles Police Department arrived.
TMZ reports the actor jumped into action when he heard someone try to kick in the back door. The intruder left the scene when Williams turned the lights on, the report says.
Williams shares the home with his wife Bonnie Bartlett. His media team says both are okay.
His former “Boy Meets World” co-stars have voiced their support on Twitter by making references to the show.
Will Friedle, the actor who played Eric Matthews, tweeted “Don’t ever mess with Mr. Feeny!”
Danielle Fishel, who played Topanga, joked that, “as the burglar ran away he yelled, ‘Dream! Try! Do Good!'”
