A Kentucky man is facing charges after throwing a Christmas ham and fleeing from law enforcement over the weekend.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a domestic dispute at a home just outside of London late Sunday night. Investigators say an argument over when the family was going to have Christmas dinner got heated and 21-year-old David D. Brannon began throwing several items, including the ham for the Christmas dinner, at the female victim.

Brannon attempted to flee the home, but deputies were able to detain him. The sheriff’s office said Brannon is charged with assault and fleeing or evading police.

According to WIS10 News, Brannon is being held on a $1,000 bond for fleeing and the bond for the assault charge is still pending.
