Isaias cuts path of destruction

U.S. & World

(NBC News) — Isaias left a path of destruction across several states Tuesday.

The storm made landfall as Category One hurricane late Monday along the North Carolina coast, where two people are dead and at least a dozen more injured.

High winds and heavy rain continued as the storm rapidly pushed north, with storm surge and floodwaters swallowing roadways and vehicles.

Hundreds of thousands, from the Carolinas to New York, were left without power.
