HOUSTON, TX (CNN)—Police in Houston are investigating a burglary after they say thieves broke into a restaurant and crawled across the floor in an effort to avoid surveillance cameras, giving them the nicknames ‘Inchworm Bandits.’

Surveillance video shows the thieves breaking a window and crawl into Piggy’s Kitchen and bar early Sunday morning.

“The staff has taken to calling them the inchworm bandits. I mean, they’re inch-worming their way across my dining room floor all the way to the kitchen, and finally decided to stand up,” said Christopher Grinnell.

Police believe the thieves managed to grab $450.00 from the tip jar for servers.

Now, police are investigating if this group has committed crimes at other area restaurants.

Managers of the restaurant say the thieves caused around two-thousand dollars’ worth of damage.
