Girl Scout cookie season kicks off with new cookie: Caramel Chocolate Chip

Just when you started feeling good about your New Year’s resolution to lose weight the Girl Scouts started selling cookies.

And they have a new temptation this year.

Girl Scout cookie season officially kicked off Wednesday and there’s a new cookie in town: Caramel Chocolate Chip.

The Girl Scouts say the gluten-free cookie contains rich caramel, semi-sweet chocolate chips and a hint of sea salt.

The other gluten-free offering is Toffee-Tastic, which was first introduced in 2015.

The join returning classics such as Thin Mints, S’mores and Samoas.

Hot Pockets recalled because they may contain pieces of plastic, glass

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Nestlé Prepared Foods is recalling more than 700,000 pounds of Hot Pockets because they may be contaminated with pieces of glass or hard plastic, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The company said they've received four complaints of consumers finding glass and plastic pieces in their frozen, not-ready-to-eat pepperoni Hot Pockets. One of those complaints involved a "minor oral injury," according to the USDA.

Post Malone donates 10,000 pairs of Crocs to frontline medical workers across the country

(WJW) -- Rapper Post Malone has donated 10,000 pairs of his sold-out Crocs to hospital caregivers and staff all over the country who are working on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.
