Gas prices near highest level in 4 years

GAITHERSBURG, Maryland (WISH) — If it feels like you’ve been paying more at the pump this month, it’s because you are. 

Gas prices are nearing their highest levels in four years.

According to the Maryland-based Oil Price Information Service, average prices for unleaded have hiked up about six cents a gallon in the in the past month, topping $2.90 a gallon.

If they go up another eight cents, fuel prices will be the highest since 2014.

Here in Columbus, the average price for regular gas is $2.89, with the lowest price being $2.60
