‘Despacito’ video back on YouTube after being deleted by hackers

U.S. & World

SAN BRUNO, CA (WCMH) — The most popular video in YouTube history, “Despacito” was reportedly temporarily deleted after an apparent hack.

According to the Independent, Luis Fonsi’s music video “Despacito” was deleted by hackers calling themselves Prosox and Kuroi’sh, who replaced the music video with an image of masked figures aiming a gun at the camera. The description underneath the video read “Free Palestine.”

Since the apparent hack however, “Despacito” has been restored.

“Despacito” became an international smash hit in 2017, topping the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The popular music video recently passed the 5 billion view mark, continuing its title as the most popular clip on YouTube ever.
