SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) – A dentist is facing several charges of sexual contact with female inmates.

Andrew Heinisch turned himself in Thursday and posted a $10,000 bond.

Minnehaha County Sheriff Mike Milstead says on June 9, an inmate told authorities the dentist, who was sub-contracted to work at the jail, inappropriately touched her. Prior to Saturday an investigation was opened on June 9, based on allegations of inappropriate touching as well.

Shortly after, law enforcement told Heinisch he was not allowed to enter the jail. A warrant was issued for his arrest this week.

Authorities believe there may be as many as five victims involved in this case.

Heinisch now faces several charges of sexual contact, sexual acts and attempted sexual contact.

He will make his first appearance in court on Monday.
