(NBC News) — On Friday’s all-new “Dateline,” a small Texas town is shattered when beloved teacher Manuela Allen disappears.

Here is a preview of Andrea Canning’s report:

This is a story that takes place in a small town in North Central Texas, where Friday night football is everything and everyone knows everyone. But their idyllic world was shattered when a beloved teacher vanished from her house in the middle of the night.

A gruesome discovery was made a short time later at a local lake that would leave investigators with more questions than answers.

Watch “Dateline: The Footprint at the Lake” Friday at 9 p.m. on NBC4.
