CVS begins selling cannabis-based products in Kentucky, Indiana

U.S. & World

CVS is partnering with cannabis manufacturers to start selling products infused with CBD in several states, including Kentucky and Indiana.

The drugstore chain will start carrying a line of cannabis-based topical products, including creams, sprays, roll-ons, lotions and salves.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is derived from the cannabis plant and is considered to be non-psychoactive.

CVS officials said in a statement that it’s not selling any supplements or food additives containing CBD.

The products will only be available in about 800 stores in Alabama, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland and Tennessee, in addition to Kentucky and Indiana.
