BRIGHTON, CO (WCMH) — A school district on Colorado is doing away with five-day weeks and will only be sending students four days each week.
According to a release by the 27J School District in Colorado, students will no longer be going to school on Mondays, beginning this year.
“Implementing the four-day student contact week is part of a long term plan to invest in the Thinking Classroom today to prepare our students for life and a career into 2038,” the district wrote on its website.
Middle and high school students in the district will go to school from 8:30am to 4:32pm.
Elementary school students report from 7:50am to 3:30pm.
For working parents, the school district will also be offering all-day child care on Mondays, for children 5 years old to 12 years old.
