The late President George H.W. Bush was honored with his own forever stamp that was unveiled on what would have been his 95th birthday today.
Bush died late last year at age 94.
The stamp includes a portrait of Bush painted by award-wining artist Michael J. Deas.
It is based on a 1997 photograph by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.
The first-day-of-issue ceremony took place on his birthday, today, June 12, at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, Texas.
The stamp was available for pre-order in April and was expected to be delivered on or after the ceremony.
