After receiving an overwhelming response to its “Pay Your Age Day,” Build-A-Bear has launched a new program to give kids a discount.

On Friday, the store announced a new “Count Your Candles” program. It allows children to visit Build-A-Bear any day during their birthday month and make a new Birthday Treat Bear. The age they are turning is how much the bear will cost.

The birthday boy or girl will also get a special birthday heart ceremony, a birthday cake photo prop, a birthday sticker and a birthday party hat. Staff members will sing “Happy Birthday” to the guest of honor and let them ring the birthday bell.

The “Count Your Candles” offer is only available to Build-A-Bear Bonus Club members, but the club is free to join and can be done online. Children must be under 14 to participate.

The new program comes just one day after Build-A-Bear stores across the country were forced to close lines for the “Pay Your Age” promotion due to safety concerns. According to the Build-A-Bear website, guests who were in line were given vouchers for future purchases.
