ST. LOUIS, MO (WFLA) – Budweiser is out with a new brew inspired by George Washington.
“Freedom Reserve” red lager was unveiled Tuesday.
According to Anheuser-Busch’s website, the beer is based on a recipe taken from Washington’s military journal dating back to 1757.
The beer is a continuation of the company’s support of nonprofit “Folds of Honor,” that gives scholarships to military families, according to CNN.
A portion of the proceeds this summer will benefit the organization.
The new beer will both in vintage stubby bottles and one-pint cans.
