(WESH/NBC News) Fists flew Friday following a guilty verdict in a Florida murder trial.
Defendant Travis Davis began throwing punches as soon as the verdict was read.
Davis and three other men were sentenced to life in prison after the home invasion and murder of Courtney London of Ocala.
London was gunned down two years ago in his home in front of his children.
“They got emotional, they got upset, they started flailing away and I just happen to be in the way,” said defense attorney Daniel Hernandez.
Extra deputies were in court Friday because of worries about violence, and quickly got things under control.
