Alan Alda reveals he has had Parkinson’s for years

Actor Alan Alda revealed he has Parkinson’s Disease in an appearance on “CBS This Morning” Tuesday. 

Alda said he was diagnosed with the disease three and a half years ago. 

He told CBS he’s had “a full life” since then. 

Alda, 82, is best known for his role as Hawkeye Pierce on M*A*S*H* and has won six Emmy Awards and six Golden Globe awards. He was also a writer and director on the show. 

He also hosted PBS’ “Scientific American Frontier.”
