He’s most famous for playing an Emo Vampire, but sources say he may be the next actor to say: “I’m Batman.”

According to Variety, Robert Pattinson is in negotiations to star in the forthcoming film “The Batman.”

Pattinson is best known as portraying the pasty and brooding vampire, Edward Cullen, in the “Twilight” movie series.

Some fans are already up in arms and have started a petition to cast someone else.

One person tweeted: “This is exactly why Marvel is better in every way.”

Batman is a character owned by rival comic book company, DC.

Other fans urged filmgoers to give Pattinson a chance. And pointed out Heath Ledger’s casting as the Joker in “The Dark Knight” was equally controversial.

His performance ended up being almost universally praised by critics and fans and earned Ledger a posthumous Oscar.

Before you worry about whether you’re team Pattinson or not, “Deadline” is reporting “Tolkien” star Nicholas Hunt is also being considered for the role.

“The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters in June 2021.
