Two teens arrested in connection with homicide near west side Wendy’s

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Two teens have been arrested in connection with a shooting that left a man dead in west Columbus on Tuesday.

One of the suspects, a 17-year-old boy, was injured in the shooting. A 15-year-old was also arrested. Both have been charged with murder.

Medics were called out to the restaurant on West Broad Street Tuesday evening. Columbus Police Sergeant Stan Latta told NBC4 the incident started as an altercation in the west side parking lot. Shots were fired in both directions between several people.

Edwin Guerrero, 38, was pronounced dead at Mount Carmel West Hospital.
