DETROIT, MI (WCMH) – A man and woman are in custody following an AMBER Alert for a 2-year-old girl who was forcefully taken from her aunt’s house in Detroit Tuesday morning.
A statewide Amber Alert was briefly issued in Ohio, but it was canceled after the suspect was located in Detroit. The suspect led officers on a high speed chase before being captured.
Police tell NBC affiliate WDIV-TV that two people, a man and a woman, were taken into custody. The child was safely recovered.
This all stemmed from an event around 2:30am at a house on the west side of Detroit.
